Summary of Key Responsibilities:
1. Supervision of Entry and Exit:
- Monitor and regulate entry and exit doors, as well as the movement of individuals inside and outside the premises, both during the day and at night.
2.Visitor Identification:
- Verify the identity of visitors and inform the operations room of their arrival.
3. Registration of Visitors and Vehicles:
- Maintain accurate records of all visitors and vehicles.
4. Crowd Control
- Manage and control crowds as needed.
5.Assistance to Expatriates:
- Provide support to expatriates within CARE Afghanistan facilities when required.
6.Incident Reporting:
- Report any disruptions or issues immediately to the Operations and Resilience Officer or the operations room.
7. Major Events Reporting:
- Notify the operations room or relevant officer/manager of significant incidents promptly.

- Security personnel play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of CARE staff, assets, and facilities.
- They are the first responders to emergencies and threats and are responsible for preventing unauthorized items such as weapons, explosives, and drugs from entering CARE premises.
- They must report any suspicious activity in and around CARE facilities and alert staff to potential threats.

Key Expected Results:
1. Ensure Safety and Security:
- Protect CARE staff (both national and international), visitors, and properties within offices, guest houses, warehouses, and other facilities.
2.Monitor Buildings:
- Check doors and windows after office hours to ensure they are securely locked, noting and reporting any discrepancies.
3.Electrical and Machinery Safety:
- Ensure all electrical appliances and machinery are switched off after office hours.
4. Vehicle Inspections:
- Professionally search vehicles to ensure they are free from weapons, explosives, or harmful substances.
5. Record Maintenance:
- Keep detailed registers of visitors, vehicles, and activities at CARE offices, guesthouses, and other facilities.
6. Visitor Assistance
- Search visitors politely and register them before granting access. Provide guidance as needed.
7. Staff Registration:
- Record details of staff working during weekends or holidays and ensure they have pre-approved permission letters.
8. Follow Standard Procedures:
- Execute duties in accordance with CARE's Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and general orders.
9. Emergency Response:
- Provide immediate reports of any suspicious or unauthorized activity and alert relevant authorities in case of emergencies.
10. Generator and Water Tank Maintenance:
- Operate office generators and ensure water tanks are always filled.
11. Visitor ID:
- Issue visitor IDs to non-CARE staff before granting access to facilities.
12.Asset Protection:
- Ensure no property is removed without proper authorization.
13. Loading/Unloading Assistance:
- Assist with loading and unloading items and clear entryways promptly.
14. Patrolling:
- Conduct patrols to investigate and address any suspicious or unsafe activities.
15. Communication Tools:
- Use communication devices effectively and ensure they are functional.
16. Vehicle Documentation:
- Record details of armored vehicle movements, including kilometers traveled, driver names, and times of entry/exit.
17. Security of Premises:
- Check the surroundings before vehicle movements and secure gates.
18. Compliance:
- Adhere to legal requirements and CARE’s policies.
