- Oversee the daily maintenance of the assigned vehicle(s) to ensure they remain in safe and operational condition, including routine checks on tires, brakes, engine oil, fan belts, and other essential components.

Responsibilities:
- Arrange minor vehicle repairs and ensure the vehicles are consistently clean.
- Schedule and oversee regular vehicle service intervals.
- Maintain detailed records of vehicle spare parts and conduct a monthly inventory of these parts.
- Identify the safest and most direct routes using the best available roads to reach destinations.
- Ensure that IOM vehicles are utilized exclusively for authorized purposes as directed by supervisors.
- Accurately prepare daily log sheets and compile monthly reports detailing mileage, fuel consumption, and other vehicle statistics.
- Maintain confidentiality and discretion in all discussions involving IOM personnel and operations, taking appropriate measures to mitigate potential security threats to officials or property.
- Greet and assist official personnel at airports, facilitating immigration and customs procedures when required.
- Collect and deliver mail, documents, and other items between the country office and locations such as government agencies, UN offices, and project sites, maintaining proper records.
- Provide basic clerical support to office staff when necessary, including answering calls, making photocopies, and keeping records.

Job Requirements
Education:
- High school diploma with at least two years of relevant professional experience.
- Formal driver training with a valid license and certification to operate vehicles in compliance with local laws.
Experience:
- Knowledge of driving regulations and protocols.
- Experience driving various vehicle types and models.
- Previous experience operating armored vehicles.
- Defensive driving skills are an advantage.
Skills:
- Attention to detail.
- Basic vehicle repair skills.
- Familiarity with using communication tools like radios, email, and telephones.
Languages:
- Fluency in English (oral and written).
- Proficiency in Pashto or Dari is required.
- Fluency in other national languages is a significant advantage.
