Job Overview:

Primary Responsibilities:

- Perform tasks and duties related to their specialty as needed to optimize resources, contributing expertise and experience.

- Enforce protocols and hygiene standards, ensuring the team adheres to them to maintain high-quality care and service within the specialty.

- Oversee or manage the decentralized pharmacy and medical equipment (including drug orders, stock monitoring, storage, inventory, and handling of expired drugs) to efficiently meet departmental material needs.

- Provide regular updates to the head midwife and report any issues or incidents immediately.

- Take an active role in team tasks when required to enhance resource use and share expertise.

- Participate in monthly MLMCC or hospital meetings.

- Attend MNDSR committee meetings.

- Collect daily reports from staff, including midwives, interns, and registration logs.

- Prepare and share weekly and monthly reports with the head midwife.

- Provide timely and practical solutions to challenges as they arise.

- Track individual client information within MLMCC.

- Note that the MLMCC midwife supervisor holds an equivalent rank to a midwife.

Job Requirements:

 

Qualifications:

1. Registered Midwife; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred

2. Ideally, two years of experience in a similar role

3. Proficient communication skills in Dari/Pashtu, both written and spoken

4. English communication skills (written and oral) are preferred

5. Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate in a team setting
