Job Description:

 

Position Overview:

The MEAL Unit Coordinator will be responsible for developing Logical Frameworks and Monitoring and Evaluation Frameworks for TLO projects. They will also create monitoring and evaluation tools, provide oversight to project planning and evaluation, manage knowledge, and ensure compliance with institutional and donor requirements.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

-Establishing Indicators:  Identify specific, measurable, and relevant indicators for project activities.

 

- Ensuring Compliance: Conduct regular inspections to ensure project adherence to legal regulations and organizational policies.

 

- Maintaining Partnerships:  Foster positive relationships with project partners and stakeholders to facilitate knowledge sharing and access to information.

 

-Lead M&E Initiatives:  Oversee all monitoring and evaluation activities for assigned grants/projects, including data quality monitoring and staff capacity building.

 

- Develop Tools and Analysis Frameworks:  Create quantitative and qualitative tools and analysis frameworks for program interventions to track impact on beneficiaries, value for money, and spillover effects.

 

- Implement Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Define and monitor project KPIs throughout the project duration.

 

- Analysis and Reporting:  Analyze project data, strengthen reporting functions of implementing partners, and provide feedback to inform project design and implementation plans.

 

-Supervise Data Collection: Ensure quality data collection at the field level and verify the accuracy of reported data through field visits.

 

-Managing Personnel: Supervise and manage M&E project staff, allocate duties, and build their technical capacity in data collection and analysis.

 

- Communication and Reporting: Provide feedback on project strategies, assist in reviewing donor reports, and support the preparation of project proposals.

 

- Identify Problems or Risks:  Identify potential issues or risks that could affect project progression and work to address them.

 

-GIS and Remote Sensing: Provide support to TLO departments in GIS and remote sensing data analysis, planning, and reporting.

 

Job Requirements:

A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent combination of education and work experience in areas such as statistics, international development, or economics.
