Job Description

Job Details:

1. Technological Infrastructure and Management System:

  - Conduct an initial institutional gap identification assessment, sampling from 30% of NGOs/CSOs.

  - Review Information Technology Policy, Backup Policy, Banner Data Acceptable Use Policy, Computer and Network Acceptable Use Policy, Password Policy, Requirements for Securing Computing, Data Breach Policy, Log Management, and Network Access Account Policy.

  - Provide on-the-job training for the application of policies and procedures.

  - Follow up on the implications of policies and procedures.

 

2. Branding System:

  - Review the branding policy for NGOs/CSOs.

  - Review brandmark (logo), describing color palettes, brand positioning, and personality.

  - Provide on-the-job training for the application of policies and procedures.

  - Follow up on the implications of policies and procedures.

 

3. Web Development:

  - Support regular updates to NGO/CSO websites.

  - Review multiple social media pages (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.).

  - Ensure regular updates and postings of contacts, feedback, and queries.

 

1. Human Resources:

  - Review Human Resources policies and procedures, hiring and recruitment procedures, Employee Data Protection Strategy, Unlawful Discrimination Procedures, Employee Training and Development Procedures, Disciplinary and Termination Procedures.

  - Provide on-the-job training for the application of policies and procedures.

  - Follow up on the application of policies and procedures.

 

2. Admin:

  - Conduct an initial institutional gap identification assessment, sampling from 30% of NGOs/CSOs.

  - Review Admin policies and procedures.

  - Provide on-the-job training for the application of policies and procedures.

  - Follow up on the application of policies and procedures.

 

3. M&E System:

  - Conduct an initial institutional gap identification assessment, sampling from 30% of NGOs/CSOs.

  - Review M&E Manual, Monitoring plan, and annual plan.

  - Develop a Results Framework based on its objectives, indicators, and activities.

  - Provide on-the-job training for the application of policies and procedures.

  - Follow up on the application of policies and procedures.

 

4. Financial Management Systems:

  - Conduct an initial institutional gap identification assessment, sampling from 30% of NGOs/CSOs.

  - Develop a finance manual.

  - Reviewing the accounting cycle, financial statements, and establishing accounting elements.

  - Reviewing the Taxation system and establishing financial reports.

  - Developing record-keeping policies and initializing accounting software (QuickBooks).

  - Banking and remittance management.

  - Provide on-the-job training for the application of policies and procedures.

  - Review compliance with statutory obligations, funding agreements, and reporting.

  - Review asset management practices at the Head office.

 

5. Procurement Systems:

  - Conduct an initial institutional gap identification assessment, sampling from 30% of NGOs/CSOs.

  - Review procurement policies and procedures.

  - Provide on-the-job training for the application of policies and procedures.

  - Follow up on the application of policies and procedures.

 

6. Logistics:

  - Conduct an initial institutional gap identification assessment, sampling from 30% of NGOs/CSOs.

  - Provide on-the-job training for the application of policies and procedures.

7. Strategic Plan:

  - Conduct an assessment of the existent strategic system and organizational structures.

8. Program Management Systems:

  - Carry out a critical review and assessment of the program system.

  - Carry out a critical assessment of Gender mainstreaming and PSEA of NGOs/CSOs.

Qualifications

  - Education: Master's University Degree in a relevant field (MBA, IT HR, Finance, and Administration).

  - Experience: Minimum of 10 years in a relevant field, with at least five (5) years of demonstrated experience as a technical advisor/Technical Assistance or trainer in the relevant field.

  - Experience with general management practices and techniques, including management principles, governance, and accountability, risk management, use of technology, project management, research and analysis, quality assurance, is required.

  - Proven track record in working effectively with multi-disciplinary teams.
