United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA)
About Us

UNFPA is the leading UN agency dedicated to creating a world where every pregnancy is planned, every childbirth is safe, and every young person reaches their full potential. UNFPA’s 2022-2025 strategic plan emphasizes three key goals: eliminating preventable maternal deaths, fulfilling the unmet need for family planning, and stopping gender-based violence and harmful practices. These targets reflect UNFPA’s commitment to advancing the goals of the International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD) and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030. The strategic plan urges UN Member States, organizations, and individuals to “build forward better,” addressing the setbacks caused by the Covid-19 pandemic on women’s and girls’ access to sexual and reproductive health services, restoring progress, and achieving UNFPA’s objectives.

In a world where human rights face growing challenges, UNFPA seeks dedicated, ethical individuals who embody these values and will uphold them with determination. UNFPA looks for candidates who are transformative, inspiring, and results-oriented; who are transparent and responsible in managing entrusted resources, and who are committed to achieving excellence in program outcomes.
