Norwegian Afghanistan Committee
About Us

The Norwegian Afghanistan Committee (NAC) is an organization rooted in solidarity, with over 35 years of dedicated support to the Afghan people. NAC operates across various sectors, including Education, Gender and Human Rights, Governance and Civil Society, Health, Food Security, Job Creation, Disaster Risk Reduction, and Climate Change Adaptation. NAC envisions a poverty-free Afghanistan where political action and development are grounded in principles of equality, democracy, human rights, and respect.

NAC maintains a zero-tolerance policy towards sexual exploitation, abuse, and harassment (SEAH) within the organization and towards beneficiaries. The prevention of and protection from sexual exploitation, abuse, and harassment (PSEAH) is a shared responsibility among all NAC members, including officers, management, staff, consultants, and volunteers. Everyone is required to acquaint themselves with, endorse, and adhere to NAC's Ethical Guidelines and Commitment, NAC Child Protection Policy, and NAC PSEAH Policy consistently – both during and outside working hours. Active participation in introductory and refresher training sessions is also mandatory. Any violations of PSEAH clauses in NAC's policies will result in immediate termination and potential legal consequences.
