Action Against Hunger/Action Contre La Faim (AAH/ACF) is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) that originated in France in 1979. Since 1995, AAH/ACF has been actively involved in Afghanistan, focusing on medical, nutrition, food security, as well as water and sanitation efforts. AAH/ACF has worked to enhance the accessibility of healthcare and nutrition services for the most vulnerable individuals residing in isolated regions lacking a local healthcare infrastructure. Specifically, the country team has provided support to pregnant and nursing women and children under the age of five, who are at a higher risk of malnutrition. The nutrition programs follow an inclusive strategy that addresses both the immediate and underlying factors, aiming to create a sustained improvement in nutritional well-being.
